The Rules

Our Charter
The Leight Fantasy Football League exists to provide the greatest fantasy football experience in the world.  Based upon a combination touchdown and performance scoring system, the LFFL is a non-money league that plays for the most valuable asset of them all, pride.

Our Organization
The LFFL vests its authority in one Commissioner, Todd Leight. The Office of the Commissioner shall have the final say in settling disputes between clubs and managers, administering lineups and rosters for managers, interpreting the rules, and league organization and management in the off season. The Commissioner may appoint up to two Deputy Commissioners, to serve in his stead, with whatever powers the Commissioner wishes to bestow. In season, which begins with kickoff of Thursday Night Football and runs until after the final game of Week 17, the LFFL shall have the oversight of the Board of Governors. In season rule changes, wavier rules, and trades must be approved by the Board of Governors.

Each team plays a 14 game- 14 week season, in head to head competition against other
LFFL clubs. Points are tabulated according to the performance of each team's starting
players.
Each team starts one (1) quarterback, two (2) running backs, two (2) wide receivers, one
(1) flex position that can be either a running back or wide receiver, one (1) tight end, one
(1) kicker, and one (1) team defense. These nine starting positions are joined by seven (7)
bench slots to form an sixteen (16) man squad.
At the conclusion of the regular season, the two division winners will be assigned the #1
and #2 seeds, and the top two non-division winners will be given wild cards for the #3 and
#4 seed. The wild card seeds are the best overall records, regardless of their division
result. Week 15 will see the #1 seed facing the #4 seed and the #2 seed against the #3
seed. The winners of these two match ups meet in week 16 for the championship while the
losers face off in the third place contest.
Player scoring is the following: Passing yards: .02 pts per yard (50 yds per point); Rushing
and Receiving yards .05 pts per yard (20 yards per point) ; Receptions .25 pts each, All

Rule Changes
Any member of the Board of Governors may propose a rule change. To
pass, the rule change must have approval of an absolute majority of the board members,
and not be vetoed by the Commissioner. The Commissioner may veto any rule change
passed by an absolute majority of the Board of Governors. The Commissioner's veto can be
overridden by a unanimous vote of the LFFL as a whole.

Trade Approval
All in season trades between clubs must be approved by the Board of
Governors. Board Members who are parties in a trade may not vote on their own trade. A
majority of the voting Board Members must approve a trade for it to successfully pass. The
Commissioner may veto a trade that he believes is unfair, and that veto can only be
overridden by a 2/3 majority of the LFFL as a whole, less the teams party to the trade.
The trade deadline will be set by Yahoo! and will not be extended unless approved by the
board as a rule change. Trades can be made between LFFL teams until the deadline, and
only may be for players only, and no other goods or services. Also, the purpose must be to
improve each team, not stack one team, impoverish another, or loan players on a weekly
basis.

Roster Moves
In season, each team is allowed three (3) roster moves per week. A move
is defined as the action of dropping one player and picking up another. A week shall be
termed as the time between the expiry of Monday Night Football and the start of the
following week's MNF game.

Common Law
There are certain rules by which the LFFL has always operated, and their
absence from this document does not preclude them from being in force.
